The Top Greatest Horse Racing Purses

No matter how big or small a horse racing event it maybe, all have a purse. The purse is the amount of money given to the owners of the horse at the end of each race and the amount paid out is related to the horses finish. The purse encourages the owners of the horses to perform and create intense competition at the highest levels.

The winning horse is given 60% of the total purse, the second taking 20% and the third winner is paid 10% of the total purse whilst the remaining purse is shared evenly amongst the remaining horses. The purse varies from one race to another. For example, In America, a typical race will have a purse of at least $10,000 whilst some of the top races for the day may have a purse of $30,000 or more.
The purse can be over a million dollars when it comes to the prestigious international horse racing events. For Grade I races, the purses tend to be very high due to the fact the race will comprise of only the best horses in the world.

The Grade II and Grade III horses are not as outstanding as the Grade I horses but they surely have some great purses.

As a professional punter, if you are seeking for ways to get a favorable return on your investment, you need to focus on a race that offers the highest purse due to the fact that the payouts will be incredibly higher especially when favorites fail. It’s all about betting where the money is and you should keep track of these major events so has to maximize your profits. Will California Crown win the Triple Crown Series?

Will California Crown win the Triple Crown Series?

Belmont Stakes is the event that will prove the Champ of the Triple Crown Series and all punters are eying on California Crown to claim the title. The professional punters clearly know that it’s going to be a difficult task for California Crown but if it wins the Belmont Stakes it will surely make history.
California Crown did an impressive run claiming the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes and has been slated to race in the 2014 Belmont stakes. Statistics have shown that many horses have won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes but failed to win the Belmont Stakes.  This information should be taken into considerations but punters should not give the benefit of a doubt. The last five favorites to win the Triple Crown have been defeated but the chances are great for California to be crowned the champ. I guess 2014 will be a year for Victor Espinoza to make history in Belmont Stakes on the 7th of June 2014.

If California Crown is victorious in the Belmont Stakes, he will become the first Triple Crown Winner since Affirmed accomplished the feat in 1978. In the Preakness Stakes, California Crown with Jockey, Victor Espinoza came out to win the race from its 3rd position and this proved that the horse can handle any situation due to the fact that it made an early push and held on and this was quite extra ordinary.

The Belmont Stakes race is the longest leg race of the Triple Crown Series and this race will prove if Crown has great endurance to hold on till the last minute of the race. The Preakness Stakes has shown us some interesting results of the three year old colt and if the horse responds with the same results, it will surely win the Triple Crown Series.

According to statistics and history of the Triple Crown, California Crown is surely a favorite horse to bet on but for the horse claiming the championship title tends to be very difficult and at the same time possible. It’s a 50-50 chance and given that the horse makes a good start, it will surely win the race.

The contenders and odds of the Belmont Stakes are as follows;
California Chrome                                            10/13
Candy Boy                                                           12/1
Commanding Curve                                        8/1
Commissioner                                                   12/1
Danza                                                                    9/1
Intense Holiday                                                                12/1
Ride On Curlin                                                   10/1
Samraat                                                               12/1
Social Inclusion                                                  8/1
Tonalist                                                                9/1
Wicked Strong                                                   12/1
